Ecological colours
Ecological colours — a natural choice.
When you have decided to colour your hair with plant-based colourants, a number of things differ from traditional chemical colouring.
This is how it works:
At your first visit we begin by listening to your wishes. We analyse your hair and your scalp to achieve the best possible result.
Because everybody’s hair is different, you get a unique colour composed especially for you.
First we start with a deep-cleansing clay treatment to remove chemicals and other impurities, then the colour mixture — mostly warm, with the consistency of yoghurt — is applied. The time of action varies from 20 minutes to three hours, depending on the result you wish to achieve.
For the first few days after colouring you need to avoid washing your hair, because the plant colour is still ripening. You will not see the final result until after 2–3 days.
Detox clay
Before you colour your hair with plant colours for the first time, it is important to start with a deep-cleansing treatment. We use different types of clay, which absorb water very well, and this way the hair and scalp become truly clean. The clay removes chemicals, metal residue and impurities, for the best possible result in both colour and durability.
Plant colours
We use different plants and herbs such as henna, indigo, cassia, amla, walnut and salvia. To create the right tone we weigh every plant per gram. These are then mixed with water and a decoction of cones and herbs. Plant colours colour the hair in a natural and gentle way; it gains a beautiful lustre and shines in remarkable nuances. The final result depends on your own pigments and on the structure, condition and earlier treatments of your hair, as well as the amount of grey hair.
Lightening
When we lighten hair we use a colour consisting of natural clay mixed with pure peroxide (La Cordier Clay Lightening). It lightens your hair mildly and gently, and the nuances stay naturally bright. Pure peroxide does not pollute the environment and contains no allergenic or carcinogenic substances. It is also free from emulsifiers and preservatives.
